Excessive imports of Chinese low-quality products, main problem of plastic industry: spokesman of Majlis Energy Committee  

Seyyed Emad Hosseini, the spokesman of Majlis Energy Committee, referred to attractinginvestors to downstream petrochemical industriesas one of the salient features of Iran Plast International Exhibition and reiterated that there is no legal limit for the activity of producers and investors in this due.

 He went on to say: "Iran is a developing country and has achieved noticeable growth in petrochemical industry over the recent decades. It is while we face severe economic sanctions. Therefore, holding such exhibitions helps us to meet our requirements through making relation with the foreign companies and such relations encourage domestic companies to make the most efforts for having more active presence in these exhibitions."  
"Creating such sense of competition in domestic producers leads to producing better products and also helps us to move more rapidly toward developing downstream petrochemical industries." the official further commented.
 
Elsewhere in his remarks, Hosseini referred to attractinginvestors to downstream petrochemical industriesas one of the salient features of Iran Plast International Exhibition and noted that holding this exhibit encourages the investors to produce and export downstream petrochemical products rather than exporting just the raw materials.

There is no legal limit for the activity of petrochemical industrialists; the spokesman of Majlis Energy Committee highlighted adding the government should pay self-employment loans to the petrochemical producing companies so that they face no financial problem.
In the end, Hosseini pointed to imports of Chinese low-quality products as the main problem of domestic downstream petrochemical industries and commented that the government should conduct comprehensive investigation in this due and prevent from excessive and irregular import of such products, so that the ground will be laid for activity of domestic producers.
 
Holding such international exhibition takes great part in the growth of Iranian petrochemical industry, he observed adding 70 percent increase in participation of foreign companies in this edition of the event indicates that our country has progressed noticeably in this due.
